  • About the earphones

    iPhone5には、以下の写真のようなイヤホンが標準添付されています。

    このイヤホンは、実は結構高機能でして、標準のミュージックプレイヤーで再生中に、以下のようなことができます。

    • Plus ( ) button
      → volume up
    • "-" Button click
      → volume down
    • The middle button single click.
      → pause / resume of the currently playing song
    • The middle button and hold then
      → Siri boot
    • Double-click the button in the Middle
      → the next song play
    • The middle button double click hold and
      → fast forward
    • The middle button triple click.
      →曲の先頭に戻る。曲の先頭なら前の曲に戻る
    • The middle button triple click hold and
      → Rewind

    in、Walking Playerもこの標準のミュージックプレイヤーと同じ機能をしっかりサポートしています。

    ただ、Siriさんは標準のミュージックプレイヤーをちょっとひいきしてて、標準のミュージックプレイヤーで演奏している時に「次の曲」とか「前の曲」とか「再生中の曲のタイトルは?」とかお願いするとちゃんと仕事してくれるんですが、Walking Playerで演奏している時に言っても「”Music”Appで音楽を聴いているとき以外は、その操作はできません。」と、仕事拒否しやがります(T_T)。Walking Playerもリモコンで再生制御できるようにしてるんだから、Siriさんもアプリ名だけで判断しないで、もうちょっと頑張れば再生制御できるはずなんですけどねぇ。でも、ベタなカタカナ発音で「ウォーキングプレイヤー」と言うと、Walking Playerを起動してくれたりはします(^_^)。

    In addition、このリモコン制御はiPhone5標準添付のイヤホンでなくても可能です。以下のような安いBluetoothイヤホンでもちゃんと音が聞こえて再生制御できることを確認できてます。

    ただ規格の違うイヤホンも一部あるようで、リモコン機能を期待して買われる方は、「iPhone対応」と書かれているか確認することをお勧めします。

  • For background playback

    バックグラウンド再生中の機能について説明します。
    これらは全て標準のミュージックプレーヤーと同等の機能です。

    バックグラウンド再生中であるか否かは、ステータスバーの再生中マークでわかります。

    ホームボタンをダブルクリックすると、以下のようなタスク一覧が出てきますが、

    それを右にスワイプすると、以下のような画面が表示されます。

    • Walking Playerのアイコンをタップすると、Walking Playerの画面に戻ります。
    • Play/Pauseボタンをタップすると、Walking Playerで再生中の音楽の一時停止/再開ができます。
    • Prevボタンをタップすると、Return to the beginning of the song。Tap at the beginning of a song to return to the previous song。
    • Fwdボタンをタップすると、次の曲にスキップします。
    • Prevボタン/Fwdボタンを長押しすると、巻き戻し/早送りができます。

    さらにこれを右にスワイプすると、ボリュームコントロールが表示されます。

    画面ロック状態では、以下のように再生中のタイトル名、アルバム名、アーティスト名、アートワーク画像が表示されます。

  • About the 'lock' button on the tempo setting screen

  • About the manual tempo measurement

    再生中の曲のテンポを手動で測定するには、「Player screen」の「オリジナルテンポ表示」をタップします。
    すると、以下のような画面が表示されます。

    (Tempo measuring method)

    1. 再生中の曲の拍子にあわせて、「Tap to Beat!」のボタンを繰り返しタップします。
    2. タップするたびにテンポ値が再計算され、Picker(Drum)の選択数値が変化します。
    3. For a while(10-About 20 times)タップを繰り返していると、Picker(Drum)の選択数値がだんだん安定してきます。
    4. 安定した数値になったら、それがその曲の測定テンポです。
    5. そのまま「保存」ボタンを押すと、測定テンポが登録されます。

    • タップに失敗してやり直したい場合は「リセット」ボタンを押します。「リセット」ボタンを押すとピッカー(Drum)の選択値が「CLEAR」になります。
    • 「CLEAR」を選択している状態で「保存」ボタンを押すと、現在登録されている手動測定テンポ値がクリアされます。手動測定テンポ値をクリアすると、音楽プロパティまたは自動解析テンポの値がオリジナルテンポとして使用されます。
    • 正しいテンポがあらかじめ分かっている場合は、「Tap to Beat」をタップせず、自分でピッカー(Drum)を回して直接テンポ値を指定してもかまいません。
    • この画面を終了するには「中止」ボタンを押すか、画面上部の半透明パネルをタップします。この場合、測定中のテンポは反映されません。Also、Even if the song being played ends、This screen will close。
    • タップのタイミングは、きっちり正確でなくても大丈夫です。テンポ計算は、何秒間に何回タップしたかで計算しますので、重要なのはタップ回数です。タップタイミングのふらつきは全く問題ありません。however、少ないタップ回数で早めに測定値を安定させたい場合は、ファーストタップのタイミングをなるべく正確にしてください。ファーストタップのタイミングがずれると、測定値が安定するのに時間がかかるようになります。ファーストタップを失敗して測定値がなかなか安定しない場合は、一旦「リセット」ボタンを押して再測定したほうがよいかもしれません。

  • About play in the song list coloring

    再生中曲一覧は、4種類の背景色で色分けされています。

    • White background color(→ screen example)
      指定テンポ範囲内の曲です。この曲はテンポを調整せず、元の速度で再生します。
    • Pale yellow background color(→ screen example)
      指定テンポ範囲外のためテンポを調整して再生する曲です。再生モードを「Adjust play」モードにした時のみ表示されます。テンポ調整値は行の右端に「オリジナルテンポ↓再生テンポ」の形で表示します。
    • A light gray background color(→ screen example)
      指定テンポ範囲外のため再生をスキップする曲です。再生モードを「Skip play」モードにした時のみ表示されます。
    • Dark grey background color(→ screen example)
      再生不可の曲です。この曲はWalking Playerでは再生できません。再生不可の曲を一覧から排除したい場合は、Play song list settings screenで「再生非対応の曲を一覧に表示する」をOFFにします。Mostly DRM(Copyright protection)付きの曲が再生不可の曲になります。DRM付きの曲の詳細は「I have a play and song is grayed out and cannot play?」を参考にしてください。

  • Original tempo information for more information

    オリジナルテンポは、以下の3つのテンポ情報を元にして決定します。

    • Manual measuring tempo
      Manual tempo measuring screenを使って登録したテンポデータです。
    • Music properties
      Music information called ID3 tag during the music files(曲名、アーティスト名等)を書き込む領域があり、その中に曲のテンポ(BPM:BeatPerMinute)を登録するためのフィールドがあります。このBPMフィールドの値をここでは「音楽プロパティ」と呼んでいます。この値はパソコン上のiTunesアプリでも確認できます。(iTunesを起動し、楽曲を右クリックして表示されるメニューから「プロパティ」を選択すると、「情報」タブの中にBPM値が表示されます。)
      ただ、この音楽プロパティ(BPM value)が音楽ファイルの中に最初から登録されていることはめったにありません。
    • Automatic analysis tempo
      手動測定テンポも音楽プロパティも登録されていない場合、Walking Playerは音楽データを読み込んで曲のテンポを自動解析します。その解析結果が「自動解析テンポ」になります。

    オリジナルテンポは、
    手動測定テンポが登録されていれば、それを最優先で使用します。
    手動測定テンポが登録されてない時、音楽プロパティを第二優先で使用します。
    手動測定テンポも音楽プロパティも登録されていない場合、自動解析テンポを使用します。

     

  • About the display of the playing time

    The playback time of the song displayed in the "playback position display slider" and "playback song list" is、The actual playback time will be displayed, reflecting the tempo adjustment rate.。

  • About the floating bar

    フローティングバーには、現在再生中の曲と再生制御のためのボタンが表示されます。曲再生中に曲選択画面に戻った場合、曲選択画面にフローティングバーが継続表示され、再生中の曲の制御ができます。
